Chris Benvenuto is a shareholder who joined Gunster in 2003, and practices in the firm’s Business Litigation and Real Estate practice groups.
Chris represents businesses and high net-worth individuals in resolving complex business and real estate disputes. Chris has represented Fortune 100 companies, small and medium-sized businesses, residential and commercial real estate developers, financial institutions, telecommunication companies, and other diverse businesses in the manufacturing, energy, marine, hotel/resort, agricultural, and real estate industries.
Chris makes it a priority to fully understand the challenges his clients face in their specific business. He counsels and advises clients on the day-to-day issues affecting their company, and helps develop creative solutions to protect their business interests. When matters cannot be resolved amicably, Chris is an experienced litigator who has handled a wide variety of disputes in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and AAA and FINRA arbitrations, including matters involving breach of contract, business torts, employment disputes, land use and development, commercial landlord-tenant issues, eminent domain, property tax disputes, and general real estate and property rights issues.
Chris has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating awarded to lawyers by their peers for legal ability and professional ethical standards. Chris has also been recognized numerous times as a “Rising Star” by Florida Super Lawyers.
Chris was born and raised in Palm Beach County and is active in his local community. He is on the board of trustees for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, is a member of the Honda Classic Ambassadors’ Club, has previously served on the board of directors for the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches, and is a graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County.
Chris attended the University of Florida where he received his undergraduate degree in finance, his master’s degree in real estate, and his law degree. He currently resides in Palm Beach Gardens with his wife and two sons.
